I actually like the idea, if they make the signs on those screens profiled, so you can feel them before you tap them, it would be great.

Isn't part of the point of wheel controls that you don't have to take your eyes off the road? How's that supposed to work with no tactile feedback?

1. That's a concept, it needs to be flashy and techy.

2. You can customize touchsceens to control anything you like, without taking your hands off the wheel.

3. Easier to repair, than individual buttons. If something doesn't work, just replace the screen or the screen module and you're free to go.

2. Yes you can customize them, no you can't use a screen that has no tactile feel and is customized without taking your eyes off the road. at least not without a lot of practice.

3. Easier to repair? Both the switch panel and this will have to be replaced when they go bad. a switch panel will be a 1/3rd the price of a new touch panel and the wiring will be simpler.
